What is the Gilded KYC/AML, or Identification, process?

Gilded's Know Your Customer (KYC) / Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Identification process

KYC/AML, or as Gilded refers to it, Identification, is shorthand for “Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering” and refers to a set of internationally and nationally developed practices designed both to verify the identity, suitability and risks involved with onboarding customers and to prevent such activities as money-laundering, terrorist financing and financial crime. Gilded takes its KYC/AML Identification responsibilities very seriously, having engaged with JTC (Jersey) Limited to provide procedural and regulatory guidance, personnel and officers, and review services to ensure Gilded complies with Jersey KYC/AML requirements. In addition to Gilded’s internal procedures, we utilize the services of multiple KYC/AML providers, including Moody’s/Regulatory DataCorp, Au10TIX, Veri5Digital and Kount to ensure the thorough and ongoing review and vetting of customers.

The Gilded App is designed to simplify the KYC/AML Identification process. While requirements will vary from country to country, you can generally expect to use the Gilded App to upload a current government-issued identification card or license and to take a video selfie. Following these steps, Gilded will, generally electronically and within minutes, either confirm your credentials and permit your first gold purchase or advise you that your onboarding cannot proceed. Our KYC/AML Identification processes are ongoing with respect to our customers, and particularly if your account size increases materially and you wish to become a Premium customer, we may ask for additional information from you.
